This data protection statement explains what information is collected during your visit to our web offering and while using our platform, and how this information is used. It does not, however, apply to websites of companies which do not belong to the Group, but which may have a link to this website or another website of Deutsche Telekom AG.
For the purpose of system security, when you visit our websites, our web server temporarily registers the domain name or the IP address of the inquiring computer as well as the date of access, the file request of the client (file name and URL), the HTTP response code, the website from which you are visiting us, and the number of bytes transferred during the session. We might also store some information in the form of ‘cookies’ on your PC so that we can optimize our website according to your preferences. More detailed personal data such as name, address, telephone number or e-mail address are not recorded unless you provide this information voluntarily, for example as part of an online order for a product or service, in a survey, a competition or a request for information. Personal data collected during a visit to our website will be processed exclusively in accordance with the legal provisions of the country in which the respective company is headquartered.
In order to use the personalized and secure area “myIBS”, we collect and store data during registration which is required in order to uniquely identify your customer account. This includes your e-mail address and password. In addition, we also store a customer number for every account, which you can view in the IBS customer center. Providing additional data is voluntary and can be administered in the customer center at any time.
During registration for the protected area “myIBS”, your e-mail address serves as your user name. We need this to uniquely identify you as the user. Your valid e-mail address is also required in the event that you need to reset your password. Before we store your e-mail address, it must first be confirmed through a so-called ‘double opt-in’ process. By clicking on a link in a confirmation e-mail, you as the user confirm that you have access to the mailbox in question.
